Rooms in Strange Places

On behalf of all Leicestershire Furniture Reuse Projects, Sofa was able to provide furniture for a series of installations organised by Leicestershire County Council to highlight reuse and the importance of diverting good quality items from landfill. Under the title "Rooms in Strange Places" either a mock living room or a mock bedroom were set up at:

  • Snibston Discovery Museum
  • Bosworth Battlefield Centre
  • Beacon Hill
  • Foxton Locks
  • Leicester Botanic Gardens
  • Blaby St. John's Precinct
  • Melton Market

Our furniture was pictured at the top of Beacon Hill on Thursday 18th August 2011. The Loughborough Echo featured this picture and a quote from Sofa in their article about the initiative.
